Our History
“From the very beginning, the Burgstallerhof has been a special training facility for sport horses.”
In 1996, the perfect place for the Burgstallerhof Equestrian Centre was found in the Wienerwald forest, a landscape conservation area. After a short planning and construction phase, the first horses moved into the new stables.
The Burgstallerhof very quickly became established in the Austrian dressage scene. Most notably, the Spanish Riding School Riders Harald Bauer, Marcus Nowotny and the former First Chief Rider Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg, chose the Burgstallerhof to train their riding students’ horses.
Our Team
Ing. Wolfgang Sumetzberger
Management of the Equestrian Centre, which was planned and realised by him
He already developed a love of horses as a child. With the Burgstallerhof, he has created an optimal facility for keeping and training sport horses in a species-appropriate way.
Jun Sumetzberger
Customer care and personnel support
After living in one of the world’s biggest cities, she enjoys being so close to nature and the animals here.
Jessica Sumetzberger
A rider with heart and soul
She was already riding her pony “Yan Yan” (Little Sun) at the age of 3. Since then, riding has been her passion. She got her dressage horse “Forever Yours” as a foal, and broke it in herself.
Marcel Sumetzberger
Hands-on technical talent
He provides proactive practical support wherever he can. His tool collection is his pride and joy, and whenever anything needs repairing, he’s always happy to lend a hand. He is, of course, also extremely interested in the agricultural machines.
The Grooms
When choosing our stable personnel, we place great value on how well they handle the horses.
